A fight. A reframe. A biryani trip. A journey.

It started with a fight.

A real one — about whether AI was worth paying attention to at all. That argument, and what came after it, is the reason this site exists.

how it started

"Me and Rajesh were going at it. He said AI wasn't real, wasn't worth it. I said the world was moving and we needed to stay open. We didn't hold back. Words were exchanged. I apologized.

The whole time — Venky, Sreenath, Uttam, and a few others sat in that room. Silently. Just watching two people argue about whether AI was even worth taking seriously.

But the next morning, Rajesh came back with something that stopped me cold. He said: "Maybe you're not asking us to do AI. Maybe you're asking us to dream. To ask — what's the art of the possible?"

That was the AHA moment.
A small team — Anish, Niraj, Srinath — went to Hyderabad. Dark mode: notifications off, world off, three days together. We jokingly say they went to eat biryani. They did eat biryani. But they also built something: the LA module — Lead Automation, built with AI. Our first real experiment.

It never went live. But the journey started.
Two, three years later — AI is baked into everything. Junaid, PK (Prabhanjan), Isaac, Gopal, Kushal, Kausar — and the list keeps growing. All of them carried the learnings forward. We're bleeding edge now. But we never wrote it down.

aila.fun is the attempt to bring it all alive — before we forget.

why storytelling

Writing does a few things nothing else quite does. It forces thought clarity — you can't write what you haven't thought through. It lets your creative expression out. It builds abaya — fearlessness.

And it means you're not alone. You have people aligned with you, thinking with you. You're offering the world a possibility to collaborate. Otherwise every conversation starts from scratch — apko patha nahi tha, they had no idea every single time.

A project gives you a reason to come back together as a human circle. To meet. To stay sane. To invite others in.

That's what this is.
